Front Cover
Do you think the picture used for the background is suitable for the genre that I have aimed it at?
I think the front cover background picture that has been used is suitable for the genre of magazine that you are trying to create. Straight away from looking at this front cover I can tell that it is aimed at the audience of a regional magazine.
Do you think the way I have positioned the castle over the top of the texts is affective or makes it harder to read?
The castle has been taken slightly from a side on angle that works well, the way you have used affects to position the castle of the text and makes it look even better and at the same time it is still easy to read the title of the magazine.
What do you think of the way the writing is positioned around the castle?
The way you have made sure the writing doesn’t overlap the picture of the castle works well.
Do you like the font style and size on the front cover? And what you make any changes?
I think it would work well if you used a range of fonts and maybe varied the size but you’d have to play around with them to see what looks good.
Are the cover stories that I have included suit the genre of magazine?
Yes, these cover stories are the things you would expect to be reading in a regional magazine.
Have I used the correct affects in the appropriate places? (Shading, stroke, blend etc.)
I think you have used a range, but maybe on the writing down the left hand side something could be done.

Double Page Spread
Do you think the picture I have used for the background is suitable and affective?
I think it is excellent the way a real picture has been used to cover the whole of the background, and the way it is fading so you can still read the writing over the top.
Do you think splitting the texts into paragraphs and sections of what they are about e.g. Farnham Castle, The Meadows, and The Bush Hotel etc. is appropriate?
By you doing this people can look for something that they may be interested in and go straight to that section.
What do you think of the way I have positioned the pictures at a slanted angle around the text?
By doing this it breaks the page up, it looks good and with the block box edging it looks even more effective.
Do you like the font style and size on the double page spread? And what you make any changes?
Its simple, but it works. By keeping it simple it makes the writing easy to read.
Is this article suitable for its intended audience? Have I used the correct affects in the appropriate places? (Shading, stroke, blend etc.)
I think you have, again its quite simple but affective and works well for the type of magazine that it is.

I think your range of pictures is excellent and
wouldn’t make any changes to this area of your work.

I think the writing and its positioning
around the page is appropriate for this style of magazine.
Do you like the font style and size on the contents page? And would you do anything differently to improve the page?
I think it could have been varied a little
more; but it’s simple and looks good.
Have I used the correct affects in the appropriate places? (Shading, stroke, blend etc.)
Once again I think there is a lot more tools
that you could have used but the ones that you have used do work well.
